  1. Jeff in NY Says:

The title graphic bleeds over the upper right hand image quite a bit. On my Mac, at least.

    Looks great otherwise!

  2. Cindy Swanson Says:

Looks great to me, La Shawn!

  3. LMB Says:

I'll put on my geek hat and try to figure out the Mac issue, Jeff.

Thanks for visiting, Cindy and Jeff. Do come again!

  4. scmommy Says:

Looks wonderful. Got you bookmarked in my daily read section!

  5. Pauli Says:

This blog is right up our alley! We'll add a link to our
    site, Muggle Matters.

  6. Tim Frankovich Says:

I have the same problem with the header image. I'm also using a Mac, tried three different browsers. The image seems to be a locked size, regardless of the browser window size. If I increase the browser window to full screen, the image doesn't overlap as much.

  7. LMB Says:

Hope you're still around, Tim. I made some adjustments in the code. How's it rendering now?

  8. Tim Frankovich Says:

The image size is still static, but now instead of overlapping the right column & photo, it goes underneath them. :)

Wish I knew enough to help you figure it out…

  9. LMB Says:

Are you Mac guys using Safari?

  10. mj Says:

I don't like three columns. It's too distracting and I feel squashed in.

Unrelated: how do you post pictures in Wordpress? I couldn't figure that out.

  11. rebecca Says:

I'm using Safari, and if the browser window is small, the middle heading image runs overtop the righthand column. If the window is big enough, then it doesn't.

Now I'll check it in Firefox….

  12. rebecca stark Says:

Things look right using Firefox and a Mac.

  13. LMB Says:

I don't how it looks to anyone else, but in IE the comment area expands horizontially when you start typing. It reminds me why I don't like IE. ;?

MJ - In the Admin panel, go to "Upload." Browse for the photo and upload. Copy the code you see and paste it in the post. Do you ever browse the WordPress Codex or the forums? WP geeks hang out in the support forum all day answering WP questions:

  14. Tim Frankovich Says:

I get the same thing in Firefox, Safari and MSIE…

  15. sally apokedak Says:

I'm using firefox and my resolutions are set at 1024 by 768. When my window is open all the way the site looks perfect. When I make the window smaller the header picture goes into the right column.

  16. Ted Wegener Says:

Im envious on your ability to have a site spring to life full blown so to speak when it took me so long to make mine and it looks so much less professional.

I dont know much about the Chronicles of Narnia but there are "Fantasy Fiction" works with a Christian theme. Movies too.

Three of my favoites are Robert Heinleins "The Puppet Masters" (an allegory about demonic possesion), Life Force (a science fiction movie), and of course the original "Matrix". Hope you comment on some of them.

  17. mj Says:

Thanks for the info. That's a good idea to use your initials, and then have link that says "Who is LMB?"? If things develop in a different way for me, I'm going to do a similar thing.

  18. tim Says:

Good looking site - except I have the same problem as above - I suspect it is because my screen size/resolution is too small to fit the format size. No big deal.

I would echo what Ted said - great to talk about Lewis and Rowling, but those are just the usual suspects. Tolkien? (another usual suspect though) G.K. Chesterton? Stephen Lawhead? Eddings? Lord Dunsany? Lots of other authors who would fit nicely into your site and greatly expand the content. Good luck!
