One day soon I'll get back to updating this blog. My main blog, from which I draw clients, writing assignments, and income, leaves me with no time to update this one. But I will return…
In the meantime, visit the blogs listed in the sidebar, and buy Who Killed Albus Dumbledore?: What Really Happened in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?.
John Granger, author of Looking for God in Harry Potter, is a contributor. We Christian Harry Potter bloggers are crazy about him.
You also may want to buy Janet Batchler's cool new book, What Will Harry Do? The Unofficial Guide to Payoffs and Possibilities in Book 7. I followed the series on her blog and look forward to reading the expanded version.
Bye, bye, for now!
Addendum: By the way, J.K Rowling herself said Albus Dumbledore is definitely DEAD. Read my theory about what happened that night on the Astronomy Tower.

Thanks for the tip, LaShawn! Just in time for Christmas, too!
On another note, DS#2 has heard that the next movie, OOTP, is due out on his birthday next year (July 2007). He's kind of jazzed about that–he'll be 17, a bit older than Harry in the book, but about the same age as the actors.
While he's never had the patience to read the series, he's had the pleasure of "growing up" along with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

I just finished the 6th book in the series a couple of weeks ago. I was STUNNED when Dumbledore was killed, and have been all bummed out that book 7 isn't finished yet.

Any idea why Amazon doesn't have what will Harry do? I've been reading Quoth the Maven for a while (and frustrated with her on again off again comment system) But have been waiting for the book to come to Amazon to finish up my cart and order these books!

I can't speak for Janet, but I know Amazon takes a big cut of a book's sales, and many authors want to keep more of their money and opt for outlets that take a smaller cut.

"What Will Harry Do?" went up on Amazon about a week ago — there was a couple weeks lag time while they got it posted. But you can go buy it there now! Thanks for asking!

I enjoyed reading this so much and to know that you are a Christian makes it even better.
I have a theory about Snape and his motivations. I think he loved Lily, Harry's mother (wasn't that in one of the previous books), that he was there when she died and that he was trying to protect her. I also think a possible reason he hated Harry was because he looked so much like the father, who Snape hated.
I too believe that Snape will die and turn out to be a good guy. I like Snape so much.
Anyway, great site! Found you over at Speculative Faith.
Regards, Chris
